2009 Summer Camp Registration Now Available!

CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

All Skills Camp

Open to girls of all skill levels entering the 7th grade through senior in high school. The Skills Camp will focus on developing and refining individual skills. Campers will be grouped according to skill achievement level, and will be challenged according to their level of ability. Campers participate in skill development drills as well as competitive games. Excellent instruction and individual attention is stressed, which is reflected in the 7:1 camper to staff ratio.

Youth Camp

This session is for less experienced players, those entering 3rd grade through 6th grade. This camp focuses on developing motor skills such as volleyball movement, jumping, throwing. We also work with a lighter ball and lower net so they can be introduced to all levels of play including spiking and blocking.

Setters Only Camp

Campers in this camp will work only on setting. Setters will work on footwork, hand positioning, set placement and tempos. Open to girls of all skill levels entering the 7th grade through senior in high school.

Defense Camp

Campers in this camp will work only on Back Row skills. The camp will focus on serve receive passing, defensive digging & movement, all types of serving, and some back row attacking skills. Open to girls entering the 8th grade through senior in high school.

High Level Setters / Middles / Outsides Camp with Cathy Noth

A high intensity fast paced camp focusing on high repetition.

The Setters camp is a three day, all day camp.  Setters will be trained by former National Team Setter Cathy Noth. The setters will have basic training each day, and then be paired with either Middles or Outsides for part of the day. This means you will actually get to set real hitters! To attend the Setters camp you must be in Grade 8 or above in the Fall of 2009.

Middles hitters camp is a three day, afternoon camp. You will jump and hit a ton of balls. You will be paired with the setters so that you can actually hit balls set by a setter. To attend the Middle Hitter camp you must be in Grade 8 or above in the Fall of 2009. You must also be a minimum of 5'7" if you are in Grade 8 or 9, and a minimum of 5'9" if you are in grades 10-12.

The Outside Hitters camp is a three day, morning. This camp like the middles camp will be high repitition on jumping and hitting. You will be paired with the setters so that you can actually hit balls set by a setter. To attend the Outside Hitter camp you must be in Grade 8 or above in the Fall of 2009.

Team Camp

This is not your normal "Team Camp" this camp will be all playing. Teams will play a four team pool each day. Three matches in the morning and three matches in the afternoon. All matches will be officiated by Northern Lights camp staff who can offer instruction if your team needs help. Teams are formed by your high school captains.

This year you may register either via mail or on-line at www.signuptoplay.com.  You can find instructions here.  If you register on-line the cost is $25 cheaper. You may also pay on-line using a credit card, PayPal, or you may mail us your camp fee.

To register for camps or clinics either go to www.signuptoplay.com, or print out the appropriate registration form and mail it to us. Regardless of how you register you must print out, sign, and mail us the Participant Release of Liability.

Our gym is a state-of-the-art volleyball facility that is Air-Conditioned.  Attending camp on those hot summer days is much more enjoyable!
