Prior to beginning play, a coach, team rep or club director must confirm his/her team's presence at the tournament and present their barcoded Check In Form from Signuptoplay.com.
Check In will be in the lobby of the Minneapolis Convention Center on Friday, April 18 or Thursday April 24 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Late Check In is from 7 a.m. to 11:00am Saturday April 19 or Friday April 25, however we do not recommend you wait until then.
All teams who play in the AM wave, must be checked in prior to 7:30 am on the first day of the tournament. Teams not checked in by that time will be dropped from the schedule and not put back in. This includes teams who do not play or ref the first match.
All teams who play in the PM wave, must be checked in prior to 11:00 am on the first day of the tournament. Teams not checked in by that time will be dropped from the schedule and not put back in. This includes teams who do not play or ref the first match in the PM wave.
We strongly urge all teams to check in on the evening prior to the tournament start date to avoid any problems or lines. This means that if you do not check in on the evening prior and you miss a match on the first morning morning due to check in problems or a long line, it is your responsibility. If you are not arriving in the Twin Cities until late at night we suggest that you send a representative to check in for you on earlier in the evening. If you do not check in on the evening before the event we strongly advise you to check in at 7:00 am on the morning of play. Please understand that the wait on first morning of play could be long (there will only be one person handling checkin that morning), and that a last minute schedule change could cause you to have to play immediately. We will not hold any games waiting for you to check in, regardless of how long the line may be.
Please do not call us and ask if you can check in late, the answer will be that you may check in at any time during the above stated hours.
To Check In you must have your preprinted barcoded Check In form. The Check In form must have all players and staff listed correctly. No handwritten changes will be accepted on the Check In Form. There are no computers at check in to print out the form. You must print it out from Signuptoplay.com before you come, or you will need to go to Kinko's or your hotel and print it out.
The complete instructions for printing out the Check In Form, along with other requirements are found by clicking here
During the check in process, the coach, team rep, or club director must sign the team's roster, verifying that all the information contained on the roster is both complete and correct, and that at least one coach for the team is Impact or CAP certified. The person signing for the team is responsible for verifying that everything is correct and true on the roster. Teams are advised that any penalties for incorrect information will be assessed regardless of who signed the roster.
No team will be permitted to play until the check-in process is completed. All games will be scored as a forfeit until a team has completed check in.
The roster for any team winning a bid will be frozen as submitted at registration. The Qualifier will send a copy of this roster to the JNC Director of Competition following the conclusion of the Qualifier as the team's official roster for JNC's.
There is no coaches meeting at the Mizuno Northern Lights Qualifier.
The official schedule is the schedule found on the Real Time website display at www.midwestvolleyball.com, and also found at the Results Stations at the Convention Center. Be sure you check the website each evening, or the results computers at the Convention Center. There will be no printed postings at any site. If you want a paper schedule, be sure you print it out before you leave and bring it with you.
We promise to post the entire schedule on this website no later than Wednesday night before the tournament. If we get the seedings earlier we will post it earlier! Our goal is to post the schedule on Monday night before the tournament, if we have all of the information.
In addition to this on-line schedule, UniversityAthlete.com has agreed to give all club coaches and parents a free copy of the parent version of the scheduling software for this tournament.
