Prior to beginning play, a coach, team rep or club director must confirm his/her team's presence at the tournament. Registration will be the QWest Convention Center from 4 p.m. on Friday, February 15 until 9 p.m., and from 7:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
This year we will once again use the Bar Coded Check in Form from signuptoplay.com. We will send a reminder email to all Club Directors approximately 5 days before the event reviewing the check in process. You may also find the information on our Check In Page.
We strongly urge all teams to check in on Friday evening because this is the first major event of the season and if you wait till Saturday the lines may be very long. This means that if you do not check in on Friday and you are not checked in before your first match on Saturday you will forfeit that match. If you are not arriving in Omaha until late Friday night we suggest that you send a representative to check in for you on Friday evening. If you do not check in on Friday evening we strongly advise you to check in at 7:00 am Saturday morning. Please understand that the wait on Saturday morning could be long, and that a last minute schedule change could cause you to have to play immediately. We also will not hold matches while you complete the check in process regardless of how long the line may be.
In order to check in each team must print out the Bar Coded Check In form from signuptoplay.com and bring it with them. The Check In form will have a barcode at the top, this is required for the check in process. If your form does not have a barcode in the top right corner, you have not printed the correct form. Any coach or club director can print out this form.
There are no computers for printing the Check In forms at the convention center. If you don't bring your Check In form you will need to go to Kinko's or to your hotel and print out the Check In form.
During the check in process, the coach, team rep, or club director must bring with them the Check In form that they print the signuptoplay.com registration site. The person signing that form is verifying that all the information contained on the roster is both complete and correct, and that at least one coach for the team is Impact certified. The person signing for the team is responsible for verifying that everything is correct and true on the roster. Teams are advised that any penalties for incorrect information will be assessed regardless of who signed the roster.
No team will be permitted to play until the check-in process is completed. All games will be scored as a forfeit until a team has completed check in.
There is no coaches meeting at the President's Day Classic. All coaches are responsible for the information posted on this website.
The Presidents' Day Classic tournament will be requiring that an adult coach be the 2nd referee whenever their team is officiating. Failure to have an adult coach as a 2nd referee will result in the lose of 1 point per minute for every minute the officiating team is not in compliance. We have found that having an adult as the 2nd referee greatly reduces the problems and complaints associated with players being 2nd referees.
Just like last year we will be running the Real Time Results website for this tournament. We will be 100% paperless at the tournament. All coaches will need to download and print the appropriate pages before coming to the tournament, as we won't have any printed schedules made. Parents ....there are no programs for sale at the event, you can download them for FREE on this website. We recommend that you check the website before leaving for the tournament on Thursday to see if there have been any schedule changes.
The official schedule is the schedule found on the Real Time website display, and also found at the Results Stations at the Convention Center. Be sure you check the website each evening, or the results computers at the Convention Center. There will be no printed postings. If you want a paper schedule, be sure you print it out before you leave and bring it with you.
We promise to post the entire schedule on this website no later than Wednesday night February 13th, however our goal is to post the schedule on Monday February 11th.
Practice courts will be available on Friday evening from 5 pm until 8 pm. Teams may come to the Convention Center between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm to practice. Practice courts are available on a first come first serve basis on the hour.
For safety reasons our set up has to be 100% complete before we will allow any courts to be used. Therefore we reserve the right to cancel or delay the start of practice sessions should we deem it necessary.
